new orleans nutrition coaching

Initial Intake Session:

75 minute session

This is where we learn all things YOU. We will get a chance to walk through the timeline of your health or recovery journey, a deep understanding of where you are now - emotionally, mentally and physically, as well as outline your goals of what you would LIKE your relationship with food and body to be. This is where rapport building and your journey to repair and freedom begins.

Follow-Up Sessions:

50 minute sessions

These sessions will likely look a little different every time! Our hope is that with each passing session you would feel heard, seen, encouraged, challenged, and supported. This is where nutrition education and meal structure meets therapeutic counseling and skill building - all pivotal pieces to the recovery process.

OUR PROCESS

Healing your relationship with food and body - one step at a time.

Step 1: Structure and Nourishment

Our first step together is to build structure around food - a road map to adequate intake. We focus on consistency and adequacy and work toward variety and diversity. Clinician and client work together to establish routine and rhythm with food step-by-step.

Step 2: Flexibility and Regulation

Healing your relationship with food requires learning new skills around food choices that honor both your body’s physical and emotional needs. Building awareness in these areas allows us to practice flexibility - a skill necessary for navigating this world outside of recovery!

Step 3: Embodiment and Trust

After nutrition restoration and establishing new routines and beliefs around food and body - we begin the beautiful process of intuitive eating! Learning to listen and trust your body, while embodying the unique beliefs and core values in your life.

LET’S ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

How do I schedule an appointment?

You will find an inquiry form on the “contact” page that you can fill out and I will respond within 24 hours! From there, we can set up a free 20 minute consultation to ensure it is a good fit and answer any remaining questions.

How often will I have appointments?

Here at Renshaw Nutrition we believe in having a smaller client load for a more hands-on and personalized experience. With that, we prefer to begin with weekly sessions to allow for rapport building and consistency with goals, with the hopes of moving to bi-weekly or monthly over time and as progress allows.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time Renshaw Nutrition does not accept insurance. We do accept HSA/FSA cards and offer itemized superbills upon request for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Do I have to have a diagnosis in order to work with you?

No! You are welcome here whether we are the first stop on your journey to feeling more confident and care-free with food, or you find us somewhere along the way throughout the process of receiving an eating disorder or other diagnosis. We work with clients at all different stages of their life and journey.

What ages do you work with?

All ages! We like variety :) Our clients range from young adolescents and their families navigating food together, to clients in their 80s wanting to support their health and simplify their meal experiences.

What is intuitive eating?

Intuitive eating is an evidence based, non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to eating and body image concerns. This is something we incorporate into everything we do at Renshaw Nutrition. You can read more about the 10 Intuitive Eating Principles here!

HAVE A QUESTION?

“I cannot recommend Meredith enough! I have always struggled with my relationship with food and body image. I truly believed that I would never be at peace with how I looked. I thought I was just an emotional eater and that it was normal to always feel guilty after every meal. Meredith has changed my life completely. It feels so freeing to know at 23 years old I'm not going to be spending the next 50 years agonizing over what I eat and what I look like. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU Meredith!”
